NOT A LOT OF EXTRA DOE
February is a very bleak and dull month for me. I find it extremely cold and grey. That is why I love to use the month to shop for sales. Like most, money is a rare commodity after Christmas but with the sales that are on now, you don’t need a lot. Just yesterday I hit the shops with my four kids ages 21, 17, 16, and 14. Our goal, to find the best deal for under twenty dollars. We had 30 minutes to try and buy an outfit. My oldest was the first to arrive back with her purchases. She quickly found a strapless black dress for $9.99 at Reitmans (on sale from $56) and earrings at Suzy Shier for $5.  The dress could easily be worn by itself but if worn with a long sleeve tee and a funky jean jacket and leggings this look could take you to school, no problem.  My third daughter arrived back with two long sleeve tee’s from Old Navy for 15.00, great colours vibrant pink and lime green. Sure to give you a little glam on a cold winter’s day. My second oldest found a gorgeous royal blue dressy tee and a funky necklace at Garage for under $20. I lucked into a pair of dress pants at Cleo’s for $15.00 and a belt at Joe Fresh for 2.99. That just left my son.  We waited and waited and finally he came back with his purchase, two CD’s for $15 at HMV. I am sure I said an outfit, but oh well.Just remember a deal is not a deal if you do not intend to wear it or use it. So a word of advice, if it says 75% off but it is not your colour or the best fit, put it back on the rack.
                                                               Cheers!! Cindy
