The journal begins ... It has been a busy
month. The first motorcross race is on May 3rd 2009. I will be racing all summer until October 15th
2009, in Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick and Cape Breton. This year I will be
riding for the Sackville Motosport motorcross race team.Sackville
Motosports is located at 1929 Sackville Drive, Middle Sackville. It
is easy for me to go to the store to order and pick up parts, because they
are just across the street from where I live. There are many things my mother and I have been getting ready. I have 2 bikes to services and get ready. They are both Kawasaki 65ccDirt bikes. One is for practice and the other will be to race. The check
list for the bikes are things like: Tiers, chains, sprockets, breaks, leavers, break and clutch lines, Shifters. The checklist for me is gear:Boots,
paints jersey, chest proctor, elbow and kneepads, goggles, gloves and neck brace. We also have to make
sure the bike plastics are number properly and sponsors decals are
on them. The car and trailer also had work done on them. National Radiators Limited, located at 271 Wyse road,
Dartmouth and 5820 Young Street, Halifax did a lot of work on the car to get it ready for the long trips over the summer. Kidz
Talk magazine will be helping me share some of my race stories with others over the race season. Now its time for my favourite part, ride my bike.
